Our DVT program is designed to bring cost containment DVT programs to your ASC/SNF. Our program allows facilities who do not currently have DVT prevention programs to address issues concerning the risk of DVT’s without additional overhead. We supply you with new machines and sleeves through our partner Covidien-Medtronic at no cost out of pocket to the facility. Program Details
Joseph Medical will provide the required number of SCD Machines individualized per center needs.
We will be responsible for ordering and managing the inventory for all disposable SCD sleeves at no cost to the facility.
As a licensed DME provider we will bill the usage of the DVT machines and SCD sleeves to the patients’ insurance company.
We will service and maintain the machines on a regular basis and provide any replacements at no charge to the facility.
We will provide a basic vendor agreement and termination of service will not be bound by contract, other then 90 day notice.
Billing Procedures and Logistics
A representative of Joseph Medical will be responsible for the order, purchase, stock, and inventory management of the SCD sleeves. The billing sheets will be picked up or mailed to us for processing and a representative from Joseph Medical will be available to you for any questions or concerns. you or your patients may have.
Billing Process
• If the patient is in-network, we will comply with our insurance contracts.
• If the patient is out of network, we will accept what the insurance allowable is.
• Joseph Medical will bill insurance providers based on our negotiated contractual agreements and accept the allowable rates. We adhere to strict Medicare guidelines and bill only according to current DMERC codes.
